BOOKS

Books helpful for PG entrance

if you ask any pg's about entrance preparation period, they would claim those days as the most terrible days in their life....nowadays with increasing number of ug seats , pg preparation is even more tough..

You have to have a wonderful plan before you get into these stuff...you need to know what to study , which books to be read , where should you train yourself , what all practice exams to be written and last but not the least plan your exams properly..

There are so many books available in market, every book will keep on calling you , but you must choose the best and learn the most wanted part of the subject ( dont try to learn everything )

We have given a list of most wanted books ...

Basic books:

- All India Pevious years' solved papers by Mudit Khanna
- AIIMS solved papers by Amit and Ashish
- ACROSS vol I and II .Must read book ..
- Sure Success By Ramgopal
- Chauthary For PGI (not that useful for all india)

Subjectwise guides

pathology - sparsh gupta.

pharmacology - sparsh gupta.

medicine - ashish gupta .

surgery - ashish gupta .

Ent by Dr Shibu George

anatomy , biochemistry , physiology , forensic medicine - ACROSS II

ophthalmology , dermatology , psychatry , radiodiagnosis , radiotherapy - ACROSS I

You can either go subjectwise or paperwise....better i think it would be to go subjectwise along with bhatia subjectwise test papers in the initial period ( For each subject, you have to do the previous years' questions(AIIMS and All India), corresponding theory book and Ramgopal sure success).....then spend some time on the subjects in which you are weak ( You have to identify which subjects made you suffer during your preparation and practice exams ) . you also have to identify the most repeated areas in each entrances you are going to write.

                                                                     BUT

you must follow your own plan according to your strengths and weaknesses.

Try to finish all subjects atleast2-3 months beforte the main exam so that you can have adequate time to give the revisions.
